Singapore: In a move to elevate Jordan's position in the global fintech arena, the "Jordan Source" program under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship took part in the 2024 Singapore Fintech Festival, joining top innovators and industry leaders worldwide. According to Jordan News Agency, the event was organized in collaboration with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Jordanian Embassy in Singapore, marking Jordan's first official presence at the festival. The event featured a national pavilion to showcase its cutting-edge fintech solutions, highlighting Jordan's growing role in the fintech sector. Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, emphasized the importance of this milestone in strengthening Jordan's ties with Singapore's tech ecosystem. "This participation is a strategic step, advancing our engagement with the global fintech community and creating a platform for dynamic partnerships and growth," Smeirat noted. The festival, held from November 6-8 at Singapore's International Convention Centre, attracted over 66,000 attendees from 150 countries. With more than 970 speakers, the event covered the latest in sustainability, AI, digital assets, and talent development, positioning it as a key forum for policy and technology insights. The Jordanian delegation included representatives from the Central Bank, Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and leading sector players like Jordan Fintech Academy, Ahli Fintech Accelerator, Arab Bank's Innovation Center, MadfooatCom for electronic payments, and "Jordan Source." Through this high-profile presence, "Jordan Source" reaffirmed its mission to establish Jordan as a premier destination for ICT investment, outsourcing, and innovation in financial technology.
