Jordan, Spain Discuss Strengthening Legal and Judicial Cooperation

Amman: Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni on Tuesday met with Spanish Ambassador to Jordan Jos© Luis Pardo Cuerdo to discuss cooperation in legal and judicial areas. Talhouni called for continued coordination to advance mutual interests and reinforce the rule of law and the justice sector.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting reviewed existing bilateral frameworks, including memoranda of understanding and agreements on extradition, and multilateral treaties. Discussions also covered mutual legal assistance requests and extradition procedures.

The meeting also focused on the "Improving Access to Juvenile Justice in Jordan" project funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.
