Doha: Jordan's Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yarub Qudah, engaged in discussions with his counterparts from Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco, and Turkey to enhance economic collaboration and explore opportunities across different sectors.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions occurred during the fifth meeting of the Higher Committee for the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development in Doha. The talks aimed to strengthen bilateral economic ties and encourage private-sector investment in critical industries.
The committee's meetings led to the signing of several agreements and the announcement of strategic projects valued at over $2 billion. These projects focus on boosting industrial collaboration among member states, targeting sectors such as metal, pharmaceuticals, plastics, health-focused food products, biotechnology innovations, and advanced electrical and technological industries.
Qudah stressed that under the directives of King Abdullah II, Jordan is partnering with the private sector to enhance its industrial capabilities. He highlighted efforts to equip Jordanian industries to play a more significant role in regional partnerships by adopting advanced production techniques, optimizing resource efficiency, improving product quality to meet international standards, and expanding their reach into global markets.
