Jordan to Experience Above-Average Temperatures Before Cooling Trend

Amman:Temperatures across Jordan are set to rise significantly, reaching 4-5 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average on Monday, as reported by the Jordan Meteorological Department.

According to Jordan News Agency, the temperature increase will result in pleasant conditions in the high mountain areas and moderate weather elsewhere, with clouds visible at medium and high altitudes. Winds will vary from southeasterly to southwesterly, remaining moderate, but the department cautioned that dust might reduce visibility in the eastern Badia.

Forecasts indicate Monday's highs will reach 29 degrees Celsius in East Amman and the plains, 27 degrees in West Amman, 25 degrees in the northern highlands, 26 degrees in the Sharah highlands, and 32 degrees in the Badia. The northern Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea are expected to experience temperatures of 33 degrees, while the southern Jordan Valley will see highs of 35 degrees, and Aqaba will reach 34 degrees.

A slight decrease in temperatures is anticipated for Tuesday, ushering in pleasant autumn weather in most regions. However, moderate conditions are expected to continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with medium- and high-level clouds accompanied by moderate westerly winds that may occasionally become active.

On Wednesday, temperatures are predicted to drop further, with similar weather conditions prevailing and westerly winds occasionally intensifying. The mild autumn weather is expected to persist through Thursday, offering pleasant conditions in most areas, along with moderate temperatures in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Clouds at various altitudes and moderate northwesterly winds, potentially becoming active, are also anticipated.
