Amman:A mild, humid air mass will lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures across Jordan on Thursday, bringing pleasant autumn conditions to much of the country with the possibility of light morning showers in parts of the north and center, as reported by the Jordan Meteorological Department.
According to Jordan News Agency, cooler weather is expected in the highlands and plains, while moderate conditions will prevail elsewhere. Clouds at varying altitudes are anticipated throughout the day, with a chance of brief, light showers in limited parts of northern and west-central Jordan during the morning.
Moderate westerly winds may become active at times, raising dust and reducing visibility, particularly across the Badia region. The department advises motorists to be cautious of reduced visibility due to early-morning fog over high mountain areas and dust in desert regions, as well as slippery roads in areas receiving rainfall.
Thursday's temperatures are forecast to reach 26 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 24 C in West Amman, with highs of 21 C in the northern highlands and 22 C in the Sharah highlands. The plains are expected to see temperatures of 25 C, while temperatures in the Badia will reach 28 C. Comparatively, the northern Jordan Valley will reach 30 C, the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba 32 C, and the Dead Sea 31 C.
The cooler conditions will persist into Friday, with continued pleasant weather in the highlands and plains and moderate temperatures elsewhere. A slight chance of light morning showers remains in limited parts of northern Jordan. Similar weather patterns are expected on Saturday, with clouds at varying altitudes and moderate westerly winds.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, but pleasant conditions will continue in the high mountain areas, and moderate weather will prevail across the rest of the country, with clouds and moderate northwesterly winds.
