Amman: The Jordanian Nursing Council has entered into a memorandum of understanding with software company ZeeDimension to organize an international conference focused on artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, nursing, and digital health. This event is set to take place from October 25 to 26, featuring both local and international participants.
According to Jordan News Agency, Council Secretary-General Hani Nawafleh emphasized that this partnership aims to broaden the application of artificial intelligence in health sciences. The initiative is expected to support a comprehensive digital transformation and elevate the quality of medical and nursing services within the Kingdom.
Nawafleh stated that the conference underscores Jordan's role as a regional hub for healthcare innovation. It will offer a global platform for physicians, nurses, and decision-makers to exchange knowledge and explore the latest AI advancements, such as early diagnosis, enhanced clinical decision-making, and sustainable healthcare systems.
He further explained that the agreement entails accredited continuing professional development (CPD) programs and specialized workshops. These initiatives are designed to bolster healthcare professionals' skills in digital transformation, smart hospital development, data analytics, health education, clinical simulation, and digital risk management.
Nawafleh extended an invitation to healthcare, academic, and technology professionals to join the international event. The conference will feature specialized scientific sessions, innovation presentations, and international experiences aimed at shaping the future of healthcare in Jordan and the region.
ZeeDimension Executive Director Ezzedine Hattab highlighted that the conference is a critical step in Jordan's healthcare digital transformation. Its primary goal is to transition AI technologies from theoretical concepts to practical applications, thereby improving patient outcomes and advancing medical systems.
Hattab noted that the event will prioritize the responsible and safe use of technology by adopting explainable AI principles and ensuring that human decision-making remains central. This approach aims to support healthcare professionals instead of replacing them with technology.
He added that the conference intends to equip healthcare professionals with tools to expedite decision-making and alleviate their workloads. Additionally, the event aims to enhance networking between national institutions and international organizations, attracting leading global expertise to translate its outcomes into long-term initiatives that benefit the healthcare sector and solidify Jordan's position as a health technology investment destination.
