Jordan to Host Islamic Digital Economy Forum Monday

Amman: The Jordan Chamber of Commerce is set to host the second Invest in Digital Economy Forum under Royal Patronage on Monday, collaborating with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development. The event will bring together officials, business leaders, and experts from across the Islamic world under the theme "Digital Transformation for a Sustainable Digital Economy."

According to Jordan News Agency, the forum will be held in Amman for the second consecutive year, focusing on opportunities in digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment. The participants will include ministers, heads of Arab and Islamic chambers of commerce, international organizations, investors, and entrepreneurs from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.

Chamber President Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq explained that Jordan's selection as host is a testament to its robust ICT infrastructure, favorable investment climate, and skilled workforce. He highlighted that Amman was named the Capital of the Digital Economy in the Islamic World at last year's forum, emphasizing the Kingdom's emerging status as a technology and innovation hub.

The forum's program includes ministerial dialogues on digital strategies and sessions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, entrepreneurship, venture capital, outsourcing, and digital education. A special presentation titled "Jordan: Gateway to the Digital Economy in the Region" will showcase the Kingdom's expanding role as a regional leader.

Al-Haj Tawfiq further mentioned that the forum serves as a strategic platform for establishing partnerships and attracting investments, aligning with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision. New projects are expected to be announced during the event.
