Jordan, Ukraine Strengthen Ties in Agriculture, Trade

Amman: Agriculture Minister Saeb Khraisat held a meeting with the Ukrainian ambassador to Jordan, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, to explore opportunities for deeper agricultural cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.

According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral agricultural relations, facilitating the trade of plant and animal products, and improving collaboration on production inputs amid the current economic challenges affecting the agricultural sector. Special attention was given to livestock production and the supply of yellow corn for animal feed.

Khraisat stressed the need to open Ukrainian markets to Jordanian agricultural products, aiming to strengthen trade balance and encourage private sector partnerships.

Ambassador Shcherbatiuk welcomed continued collaboration and highlighted Ukraine's commitment to increasing trade with Jordan. She praised the quality of Jordanian products and confirmed Ukraine's readiness to meet Jordanian standards for yellow corn shipments, ensuring their safety and suitability for livestock consumption.
