Jordanian, Palestinian Officials Discuss Transport Cooperation and Challenges

Amman: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport Fares Abu Dayyeh and Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Transport and Communications Mohammad Hamdan engaged in discussions centered on cooperation in land transport and the challenges affecting passenger and goods movement.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, held in Amman on Wednesday, focused on creating smoother transit processes. Abu Dayyeh emphasized the Jordanian government's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in facilitating passenger movement across the King Hussein Bridge and proposed joint training programs.

Hamdan highlighted the importance of Jordan-Palestine cooperation in enhancing the Palestinian transport sector, expressing gratitude towards the Jordanian Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Regulatory Commission for their continued support of Palestinian initiatives.

Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission Riyad Kharabsheh reiterated the Commission's commitment to improving passenger and freight transport services. Kharabsheh emphasized ongoing efforts to streamline procedures in partnership with Palestinian counterparts and to pursue joint development initiatives aimed at serving public interests and boosting the sector's efficiency.
