Amman: In the squares and mosques chosen by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs throughout the Kingdom, thousands of people performed the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning. The primary Eid sermon at Al Hussein Youth City was delivered by Ahmad Al-Hasanat, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Hasanat discussed the significance of sacrifice and the value of honesty and piety, highlighting the necessity of fortifying ties of love, kinship, and solidarity among society's constituents, particularly during these auspicious times. He emphasized the importance of individuals initiating greetings and handshakes, as well as the qualities of tolerance and rejection of differences, especially on this auspicious Eid.
Al-Hasanat concluded the sermon with prayers to God Almighty, asking for Jordan to remain under the banner of victory and for protection and guidance for His Majesty King Abdullah II. He prayed for the King's success in his efforts to serve his country and nation, and for victory in the realms of truth and peace, leading the country in a direction that benefits Jordan and its citizens' dignity.
He also prayed for the protection of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, asking God to guide him in the best interests of the nation and its citizens. Al-Hasanat prayed for the nation to be safe, secure, altruistic, and successful, and for its children and grandchildren to pursue paths of building and unity, loyalty and belonging, integrity in labor, and genuine generosity.
