Amman: Jordan's tourism revenues surged by 34.2 percent in April 2025 at $710.3 million, recording a 15.3% rise in the first third of the year, totaling $2.4 billion, according to preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
According to Jordan News Agency, the data also showed a 19 percent year-on-year increase in the number of tourists, reflecting a 7.5 percent rise in tourism revenues from various nationalities.
Jordanian expatriates contributed a 20.7 percent increase, followed by European tourists at 20.5 percent and American at 15.6 percent. Revenues from Arab and other international visitors also contributed to the overall growth, the CBJ figures revealed.
On the outbound travel, Jordanians' tourist spending abroad rose by 6.5 percent in April to $155.4 million, marking a 12.8% increase during the first third of 2025 to reach $646 million.
