Jordan’s Youth Center Occupancy Reaches 54% in Second Quarter of 2026

Jordan: Jordan's youth center occupancy rates across the country rose to 54% in the second quarter of 2026, bolstered by an increase in local activities and central programs, as highlighted in a Ministry of Youth report released on Sunday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the report indicated that overall occupancy rose from 45% in April to 51% in May, ultimately reaching 54% in June. The engagement in local programs experienced notable growth, increasing from 13% in April to 20.57% in May and 23.9% in June.

Additionally, the ministry's centrally launched initiatives maintained consistent participation levels, contributing to 32% of occupancy in April and 30% in both May and June. To ensure operational efficiency, the ministry introduced a performance metric that measures the actual hours utilized for activities against the total available operational hours.

In press remarks, Ministry Secretary-General Mazen Abu Baqar emphasized that the quarterly progress reflects strategic efforts to modernize infrastructure, empower staff, and provide tailored programming. He also noted that tracking these indicators enables the ministry to assess performance, address local needs, and optimize facility usage across all governorates.
