Amman: The Jordan Press Association (JPA) celebrated the 79th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by honoring the sacrifices made by Jordanians who gained independence and established the contemporary Jordanian state, its development and rebirth, its unique approach founded on humanity, moderation, and balance, and its current high international standing in a volatile regional environment.
According to Jordan News Agency, building a modern, advanced state has been the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's main objective over the past few decades. By retaining its independence, Jordan has been able to establish itself as a leader in scientific and technological advancement, demonstrating the accomplishments of its many endeavors and enhancing its reputation both domestically and globally.
The Council praised the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the security bodies, which protect the country in peace and defend it in conflict. As a result, Jordan continues to be a haven of safety and stability and, by God's help, a strong defense against those who seek to weaken it, damage its reputation, or take away from its efforts, which have been crucial in bringing about peace and security in the area.
In addition to the media sector's use of the information revolution and the Hashemite leadership's ongoing support, the Council observed the development of the media sector during the period of independence in terms of professionalism, skill, and worker competence, allowing Jordanian media to be free, responsible, professional, and pluralistic.
As the country's main voice and defender against efforts at disinformation and distortion, the Council underlined the importance of Jordanian media being visible both domestically and abroad. In order to fight rumors, boost Jordanians' trust in their institutions and their nation, and create a media landscape founded on trustworthiness and transparency, it advocated for media openness and information flow facilitation.
It reaffirmed the JPA's dedication to helping the Jordanian state, which views this as a byproduct of independence and its continuous accomplishments, construct a powerful, modern state founded on the principles of justice, dignity, and freedom while staying up to date with modern technological advancements.
The Council said: "The Jordan Journalists Syndicate pledges the Hashemite leadership that it will continue to lead the country, upholding its values and helping it succeed. Additionally, it promises that Jordanian media will continue to be a free and accountable voice that represents Jordanians' goals, preserves their unity, and raises their nation's standing."
The Council prayed to God to return this national occasion to everyone with goodness, prosperity, and successive accomplishments. It congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Jordanian family in general, and Jordanian journalists in particular.
