Amman: On Thursday evening, the President of the Jordan Press Association, Tariq Al-Momani, engaged in discussions with the Secretary-General of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Anthony Bellanger, and the Director of Policies and Programs for the Arab World and the Middle East at the IFJ, Mounir Zaarour. The talks focused on enhancing cooperation on issues concerning journalists and the development of media work.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Momani highlighted the JPA's efforts in safeguarding its members' rights and enhancing the journalistic environment. He emphasized the significance of collaborating with the International Federation to promote media freedoms and provide Jordanian journalists with training and certification programs aligned with international standards.

The Secretary-General of the Federation acknowledged the professionalism of Jordanian journalists and the constructive role of the Journalists Syndicate in supporting media freedoms and professional standards. He reiterated the Federation's commitment to providing technical assistance and expertise, along with implementing specific training initiatives that enhance journalists' skills in digital media and other areas.

The Director of Policies and Programs for the Federation stressed the importance of investing in journalistic training, noting the Federation's focus on improving journalists' skills. He emphasized the collaboration between the Federation and the JPA to introduce specialized training programs, particularly in digital journalism, artificial intelligence, and technological tools shaping innovation in the profession.

Both parties agreed to continue their cooperation and share expertise, implementing joint projects aimed at improving professional performance and the media's role across various interests.
