JTGA President Praises Government’s Soft Loan Initiative for Tour Guides

Amman:The President of the Jordan Tourist Guides Association (JTGA), Ayman Omar, has praised the government's decision to provide soft loans to tour guides. This follows a Cabinet decision that grants each tour guide a JD5,000 interest-free loan, fully subsidized by the government.

According to Jordan News Agency, Omar expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts, notably those of Minister Imad Hijazin and Secretary-General Mohammad Al-Majali, in supporting the association's demands. He acknowledged their role in implementing the program aimed at alleviating financial burdens on tourist guides.

Omar also addressed some procedural delays in the program's implementation, which is being facilitated through a designated bank with support from a deposit by the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB). He assured that efforts are ongoing to overcome administrative obstacles.

Furthermore, Omar emphasized the JTGA's continuous coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the participating banking institutions. This collaboration aims to streamline the process and ensure equal access to the financial support for all eligible tour guides.
