Amman: Under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein, Jordan University Hospital (JUH) has launched a series of health and humanitarian initiatives aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services for children. This effort is part of the "Change Day" initiative, organized by the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), themed: "Our Children's Health... Our Responsibility."
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Nader Bsoul, Director General of JUH, emphasized the importance of using "warm and simple" language to interact with children to make their hospital visits more reassuring and safe. Dr. Bsoul highlighted the need for a spirit of change to become a daily practice and an ingrained culture across all hospital wards.
The initiatives include medical, nursing, and service commitments such as early detection of childhood diseases and raising awareness among mothers about the importance of their mental and physical health before and after pregnancy. The effort also focuses on promoting the safe use of medications, organizing blood donation campaigns, and distributing healthy meals. Additionally, JUH is hosting recreational and educational activities for children.
The various wards of the hospital have pledged their commitment to the highest standards of medical and nursing practice, aiming to provide a safe and supportive treatment environment. They also plan to engage children's families in health education and conduct innovative awareness activities that reinforce the principle that children's health is a collective responsibility.
These initiatives reflect JUH's policy to foster a culture of positive change and innovation, reinforcing its status as a leading national medical institution that prioritizes the health of children and their families.
