July 12 marks resignation deadline to run in parliamentary elections-IEC

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced July 12 is the deadline to tender resignations for candidates wishing to run in the Kingdom's next parliamentary elections. In a statement Thursday, the IEC said resignations must be submitted at least 60 days ahead of the polling day scheduled for September 10. The IEC's announcement is based on the provisions of Paragraph (A) of Article (11) of the Election Law and its amendment No. (4) of 2022, the statement said.
