The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) signed bilateral cooperation agreements that frame strategic partnerships with American universities, namely: Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin Milwaukee, Illinois Chicago, Purdue in Indiana and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

The agreements, recently signed by JUST President Prof. Khalid El-Salem in the United States, aim to exchange students and faculty members, research cooperation, and provide opportunities for advanced medical training and postgraduate studies in these universities, a JUST statement said Monday.

These agreements are expected to give preferential status to JUST students at the bachelor’s and higher specialization levels for the students in the Faculty of Medicine in terms of the possibility of having optional training in these universities, the statement added.

According to the agreement, the field has also been opened for scholarships in a group of rare specialties in the medical, engineering, information technology and artificial intelligence fields, in addition to clinical specialties in veterinary medicine.

During the bilateral meetings, El-Salem gave a briefing on JUST and its distinguished global position in various international classifications in general and at the level of specialization.

For their part, the presidents of the said US universities stressed the importance of concluding such bilateral agreements with the university, especially in light of the advanced level these universities perceive for JUST graduates who complete their higher studies and specialized training.
