The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), University of Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) Sunday, aimed to enhance cooperation in the water diplomacy field. According to a JUST statement, the memo, which was signed by its vice president, Dr. Ahmad Ajlouni, and the institute's Water-Peace Programme Manager, Dr. Natasha Carmi, featured ways to boost joint cooperation to develop research and training activities in the water diplomacy and regional cooperation on crossborder water resources. The statement added that the collaboration also contributes to achieve the vision of the JUST's Water Diplomacy Center (WDC), as a regional body for research and training in the field of crossborder water cooperation and diplomacy. Ajlouni said the memo comes within the activities of the "Blue Peace Middle East (WEFE) " project, which aims to develop the center's capabilities with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
