KHCF and ABB Jordan Collaborate to Aid Cancer Patients’ Treatment Costs

Amman: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and ABB Jordan Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the Foundation's Goodwill Fund. This fund assists in covering treatment costs for underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was signed by KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamesh and ABB Jordan Limited Chairman of the Board of Directors Tariq Awwad. Qatamesh highlighted ABB Jordan Limited's commitment to social responsibility, noting that the cooperation embodies humanitarian values and significantly contributes to the Foundation's mission of providing comprehensive cancer care.

Awwad expressed pride in ABB Jordan Limited's partnership with KHCF, emphasizing the company's dedication to supporting initiatives that enhance community health and offer treatment opportunities to patients in need. He stressed that contributing to humanitarian causes is a collective duty and affirmed ABB Jordan's commitment to alleviating the suffering of cancer patients.

Established in 2003, the Goodwill Fund supports cancer patients who lack financial resources and have no other means of covering treatment costs. The average cost of treating a single patient without complications is estimated at around JD30,000. The Fund provides support to patients irrespective of nationality, age, or gender.
