Amman: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Al-Hussein Fund for Excellence have entered into a cooperation agreement to support the King Hussein Cancer Research Award 2026. The agreement positions the fund as a Silver Sponsor for the award.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was signed by KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamish and Al-Hussein Fund for Excellence Director General Dr. Ali Yaghi. Following the signing, a delegation from the fund visited the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), where they evaluated the medical facilities and therapeutic services that meet international standards.
This sponsorship marks the fourth year of collaboration between the two organizations, highlighting their joint commitment to advancing scientific research and supporting researchers in developing studies aimed at improving cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Qatamish stated that supporting scientific research is a fundamental aspect of KHCF's mission. She emphasized that national partnerships are crucial in providing a supportive environment for researchers to create clinical solutions that enhance patient outcomes and improve healthcare standards.
Dr. Yaghi expressed pride in backing the award, describing it as a leading scientific accolade in the region dedicated to fighting cancer and easing patient suffering. He noted that the fund's ongoing sponsorship underscores the banking sector's robust support for KHCF's mission to aid both local and regional patients.
