New york: His Majesty King Abdullah II held discussions with leaders and heads of delegations participating in the United Nations General Assembly meetings, emphasizing the necessity of enhancing international efforts to restore stability in the Middle East. According to Jordan News Agency, during separate meetings with President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, and Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrín Frostadóttir, King Abdullah II highlighted that a two-state solution is crucial for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region. The King called for an immediate halt to Israel's military operations in Gaza, an end to the ongoing conflict, and ensured the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip. His Majesty also expressed concerns about potential escalations in the West Bank and Jerusalem due to unilateral actions against Palestinians, reiterating Jordan's stance against Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank. The mee tings, which were attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, also explored avenues for strengthening cooperation between Jordan and the countries represented by the attending leaders. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh were also present during these discussions.
