Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a meeting with Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and other key officials, evaluated the progress of the second executive programme of the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) during the first half of 2026.
According to Jordan News Agency, the King was informed about the significant milestones achieved in various sectors under the EMV projects, such as healthcare, transport and logistics, education, and industry. During the meeting, His Majesty emphasized the necessity of channeling targeted investments into priority projects, particularly those that focus on exports and public-private partnerships. He stressed that a blend of domestic and foreign investment is crucial for the successful attainment of the EMV's goals.
King Abdullah II highlighted the critical role of continuous communication and collaboration with the participants of the workshops that were organized to assess phase one of the EMV. These workshops also played a vital role in setting priorities and recommendations for the second phase of the vision. The King also urged that it is essential to keep the public informed about the vision's implementation plans, milestones, achievements, and the challenges faced along the way.
Furthermore, His Majesty instructed that the government and EMV projects should prioritize delivering substantial and enduring improvements to the lives of citizens. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh.
