Amman:King Abdullah II met with Jonathan Powell, the United Kingdom's National Security Adviser, at Al Husseiniya Palace on Wednesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah emphasized the importance of increasing international efforts to achieve comprehensive de-escalation in the region, which would ensure the security of Arab states and restore regional stability.
The King highlighted the necessity of halting Israel's violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem. He also stressed the need to support Lebanon and Syria in maintaining their security, stability, and sovereignty.
Discussions during the meeting also covered the strong bilateral ties between Jordan and the UK, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the two nations.
