King Abdullah II Engages with China’s SASAC to Explore Strategic Partnerships

Beijing: His Majesty King Abdullah II, in Beijing on Friday, met with officials from China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).

According to Jordan News Agency, the King was briefed by SASAC Vice Chairman Li Zhen on the commission's work managing state-owned enterprises across various sectors. His Majesty expressed Jordan's interest in learning from the Chinese experience in developing state-owned enterprises and the mechanisms used to enhance governance.

The King emphasized the importance of effective cooperation and expertise exchange between the two countries, highlighting the potential for exploring partnership opportunities in strategic sectors. The engagement underscored a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties and leveraging China's expertise in state enterprise management.

The meeting was attended by key Jordanian officials, including Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, and Jordan's Ambassador to China Hussam Husseini.
