Amman: The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) organized a consultative workshop with representatives from the public and private sectors, nonprofit organizations, and local and international development institutions to review proposed directions for the Fund's strategy for 2027-2029.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop is part of preparations for the KAFD's new strategy, reflecting its approach of fostering partnerships and consultations with relevant stakeholders. The aim is to draw on diverse expertise and perspectives to set priorities and shape the Fund's future direction.
During the workshop, KAFD presented the general framework and proposed directions for the strategy. Participants engaged in discussions about future priorities and areas of focus for the upcoming three years, offering observations and proposals related to the Fund's role and its development programs and projects.
KAFD's Director General Samer Al-Mofleh emphasized that the new strategy is part of efforts to enhance the KAFD's work and strengthen the impact of its programs. This aligns with national priorities outlined in the economic, political, and administrative modernization visions, addressing rapid changes and the needs of target groups.
Al-Mofleh highlighted the importance of involving partners and stakeholders at the strategy-drafting stage. This collaborative approach aims to build realistic and ambitious directions grounded in experience and participation, translating priorities into implementable programs with sustainable development impact.
He reiterated the KAFD's commitment to aligning its future directions with national priorities and the Economic Modernization Vision, focusing on human capital development, entrepreneurship, and enhancing skills to improve youth readiness for the labor market.
The workshop included a dialogue on the proposed strategy directions, where participants exchanged views and shared observations to help refine the strategy and finalize its priorities and themes.
As the KAFD marks its Silver Jubilee at the end of this year, the occasion serves as a time to reflect on its key milestones and achievements. The new 2027-2029 strategy aims to reinforce the continuity of its development role and advance its tools and programs.
