Aqaba: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday received Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, deputy supreme commander and prime minister of Bahrain. The meeting took place in Aqaba and was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. Discussions focused on the enduring ties between Jordan and Bahrain and explored avenues to enhance relationships across various fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II conveyed Jordan's solidarity with Bahrain and the Gulf states, highlighting that the security of Arab Gulf states is integral to the region's overall security and stability. The King emphasized the importance of bolstering international efforts to uphold the ceasefire agreement, stating that any resolution to the conflict must ensure the security of Arab nations.
The meeting also addressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation and coordination among Arab states to tackle the economic challenges stemming from the recent regional escalation.
Crown Prince Salman expressed gratitude for Jordan's solidarity with Bahrain and underscored the significance of continuing efforts to develop promising opportunities for cooperation between the two nations. Earlier, King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein welcomed Crown Prince Salman at King Hussein International Airport upon his arrival.
