King Abdullah II Leaves Jordan for UNGA Meetings

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II departed Jordan on Wednesday to take part in the United Nations General Assembly's High-level Week. The King is scheduled to deliver Jordan's address at the 80th Session of the UNGA in New York next week.

According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II is also expected to engage in a series of meetings with participating heads of state and delegation during the assembly. In the King's absence, His Highness Prince Mired bin Raad has been sworn in as Regent, with the ceremony taking place in the presence of Cabinet members.
