Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II met with the permanent office of the House of Representatives, which includes the speaker, his deputies, and assistants, at Al Husseiniya Palace. The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. King Abdullah emphasized the necessity of completing the draft laws on the House's agenda.
According to Jordan News Agency, His Majesty highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the House and the government to advance political, economic, and administrative modernisation. The discussion also touched on regional developments, with the King affirming ongoing coordination with relevant parties to safeguard national interests and achieve regional stability.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmad Safadi reiterated the House's eagerness to work with the government on modernisation initiatives. He also emphasized the commitment of lawmakers to enhance partisan action and increase public outreach. Safadi noted the importance of forming the National Council for Future Technology and supported measures contributing to its success in developing the sector.
Safadi expressed the House's pride in Jordan's regional and international standing under His Majesty's leadership. Other members of the House's permanent office discussed efforts to enhance parliamentary work and voiced support for the government's administrative modernisation measures.
The meeting was also attended by Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh.
