Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a phone call with United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, discussed ways to de-escalate tensions in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, His Majesty emphasized the necessity of increasing international efforts to achieve comprehensive calm, warning about the repercussions of escalations and heightened tensions in the region.

The King asserted that Jordan will not permit its territory to be used as a battleground for any conflict, nor will it allow threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

His Majesty also highlighted the need for sustained international focus on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza, adequate humanitarian aid delivery to the Strip, and an end to escalations in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
