Ljubljana: His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, visited the Muslim Cultural Centre in Ljubljana on Monday.
According to Jordan News Agency, His Majesty toured the center and received a briefing from Mufti of the Islamic community in Slovenia, Nevzet Pori?, about the religious, cultural, and educational activities organized by the center.
Mufti Pori? emphasized the significance of the King's efforts to promote mutual understanding and respect among religions. He praised His Majesty's initiatives, such as the World Interfaith Harmony Week, which has been endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly.
Furthermore, Mufti Pori? commended Jordan's role in supporting Palestinians, highlighting the Kingdom's humanitarian response efforts in Gaza and its facilitation of the delivery of relief aid provided by Slovenia to the Strip.
During their visit, the King and the Crown Prince also explored the center's Ljubljana Mosque, which serves approximately 150,000 Muslims in Slovenia.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Jordan's non-resident Ambassador to Slovenia Mohammad Hindawi.
