King Discusses Gaza Agreement Next Steps During Coordination Meeting with World Leaders

Sharm el sheikh: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday participated in a coordination meeting with leaders of several countries to discuss the next steps in the agreement to end the war in Gaza, according to a royal court statement.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit and was convened at the invitation of France President Emmanuel Macron. It included the participation of leaders such as Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Trkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The discussions focused on measures required under an international mandate to implement security requirements in Gaza and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid. Additionally, the leaders discussed the administration of the Strip during the coming phase.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the West Bank, emphasizing the need to halt unilateral measures against Palestinians. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, alongside Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, attended the meeting.
