Amman: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) launched a promotional campaign on Wednesday highlighting its non-profit "Care Insurance" program, a social solidarity scheme designed to guarantee subscribers direct medical coverage at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
According to Jordan News Agency, KHCF Director-General Nisreen Qatamish stated that the insurance initiative provides financial protection and guaranteed access to specialized medical care upon diagnosis. She observed that while state coverage extends to over 4.1 million vulnerable individuals-including youth under 19 and seniors over 60 without private or military insurance-adults between the ages of 20 and 60 must take individual initiative to secure comprehensive cancer coverage.
Qatamish noted that "Care Insurance" offers exclusive coverage at KHCC, enabling policyholders to initiate therapeutic plans immediately without medical pre-clearance delays or waiting periods. The coverage extends through the entire duration of treatment and includes customized enrollment options for corporate employers.
The campaign aims to drive enrollment among individuals and corporate entities, mitigating the financial risks of oncology treatments while maintaining access to international-standard medical care.
