King Receives Call from Djibouti President

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call on Thursday from Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, during which they discussed the dangerous escalation in the region. His Majesty emphasised the need for the sovereignty of states' to be respected and to step up international efforts to restore calm through dialogue, reiterating that Jordan will continue to take whatever measures necessary to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

According to Jordan News Agency, the conversation highlighted the importance of international cooperation to address the current tensions. Both leaders underscored the potential consequences of the escalating situation and stressed the significance of diplomatic engagement to prevent further instability.
