Moscow: The Kremlin announced that lifting U.S. economic sanctions is essential for any agreement aimed at normalizing relations with Russia. The Kremlin emphasized that the ongoing sanctions impede efforts to enhance bilateral ties.

According to Jordan News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated at a press briefing that "normalizing relations between Russia and the United States must include the removal of economic sanctions." He further mentioned that if Washington truly decides to stop military aid to Ukraine, it might encourage Kyiv to engage in a peace process.
