Kuwait to Host Key GCC Ministerial and GCC-Japanese Meetings

Kuwait city: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is set to hold its 165th ministerial meeting in Kuwait on Monday, as announced by GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi. The meeting will be presided over by Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and will be succeeded by a joint meeting between GCC ministers and their Japanese counterpart.

According to Emirates News Agency, the subsequent GCC-Japanese meeting will be led by Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya. The GCC ministerial meeting is expected to discuss reports on the implementation of resolutions from the 45th GCC Supreme Council summit. Other topics include memorandums and reports from ministerial and technical committees, the GCC Secretariat General, and matters concerning inter-GCC dialogue and strategic relations. The meeting will also cover regional and international topics.

The GCC-Japanese meeting aims to strengthen relationships between Gulf countries and other nations. Al-Budaiwi highlighted that the meeting will focus on the joint task plan and involve an exchange of views on various regional and international issues.
