Labor Minister Bakar Attends International Safety Conference on Future Standards

Riyadh: Minister of Labor Khaled Bakar took part in the seventh edition of the International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health, held in Riyadh under the theme "The Future of Occupational Safety and Health."

According to Jordan News Agency, the two-day event witnessed broad participation from labor ministers, experts, and specialists from around the world. Bakar underscored Jordan's commitment to strengthening occupational safety and health standards, aiming to enhance employer compliance and protect workers in the private sector across various industries.

He highlighted the importance of ensuring worker sustainability by reducing workplace injuries, noting that the Ministry has introduced regulations and decisions designed to improve safety and health standards. Bakar also referenced the launch of the 19th National Occupational Safety and Health Week, held under the slogan "With updated legislation... and a positive culture... we create a safe work environment." The campaign aims to raise community awareness and encourage institutions to adopt preventative safety policies that safeguard lives and preserve human capital as a cornerstone of sustainable development.
