Labor Minister, ILO Regional Director discuss boosting employment programs

Minister of Labor Khaled Bakkar met on Thursday with the Regional Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Ruba Jaradat, to discuss enhancing cooperation on projects and programs aimed at improving employment opportunities for Jordanians, along with providing the necessary technical assistance. Bakkar highlighted the government's commitment to fostering a favorable work environment and offering training and rehabilitation opportunities for youth, enabling them to take advantage of job openings in the national economy. He also expressed the ministry's desire for expanded collaboration with the ILO. Jaradat provided an overview of the regional office's activities, affirming the ILO's dedication to strengthening its partnership with the ministry and the private sector in Jordan to promote decent work opportunities.
