Amman: Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Bakkar, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the first group of 21 Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) trainers at Luminus Technical University College (LTUC). This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance vocational education in Jordan.

According to Jordan News Agency, the training initiative is part of the Integrated Skills Development Project for Youth, Women, and Syrian Refugees in Jordan, funded by the European Union. The project aligns with the Ministry of Labor’s objectives to bolster technical and vocational education institutions in the country.

The newly graduated trainers received specialized instruction in e-systems and hybrid car maintenance. The program’s goal is to enhance the trainers’ capacity, improve their skills, and equip them with modern training tools, thereby improving the quality of programs available to trainees in VTC courses.

During the event, Dr. Bakkar toured the college’s state-of-the-art engineering workshops and laboratories. He visited the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair School of Advanced Computing (ASAC), which is equipped with the latest technology to support specialized programs in advanced computing fields.

Additionally, Dr. Bakkar reviewed the achievements of the college’s School of Automotive Technology, noted as the first in the region to offer both Bachelor’s and British Diploma programs in Automotive Engineering Technology. He engaged with students to discuss technical education and the ministry’s financing programs designed to support entrepreneurs graduating from technical and vocational tracks.
