Amman: The Wage Authority Unit at the Ministry of Labor has addressed 120 labor cases in the first half of this year, successfully resolving 97 of them during the same period.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry's spokesperson, Mohammad Zyoud, stated in a press release to "Petra" on Sunday that the unit also resolved approximately 12 cases that were registered in 2024, as well as one case filed in 2023.
Zyoud explained that the unit was established under Article (54) of the Labor Law of 1996 and its amendments. Its primary role is to examine labor disputes within the Amman governorate. He further mentioned that the unit's decisions are implemented by competent enforcement departments and are equivalent to rulings made by Jordan's regular courts.
