Amman: Minister of Transport and Minister of Labor Nidal Al-Qatamin on Thursday welcomed a delegation from the International Labour Organization (ILO) Regional Office for Arab States, based in Beirut, at the Ministry of Labor.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including the ministry's Secretary-General Abdul Halim Doujan, ILO Country Coordinator in Jordan Amal Mowafi, Senior International Labour Standards Specialist Christine-Maria Shabira, Decent Work Country Programme Officer Vitaly Aldany, and CEO of the Jordan Garments, Accessories and Textiles Exporter's Association Rose Al-Assi.
The discussions focused on several joint files and programs aimed at bolstering government efforts to enhance the labor market and improve working conditions. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the ILO. They agreed on the necessity of maintaining ongoing coordination to ensure the effective implementation of joint projects, achieve their intended outcomes, and capitalize on the ILO's technical expertise in various labor-related areas.
