Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem: Jordan, a Coexistence, Harmony Model

Irbid: Head of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, welcomed Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa during a visit to the northern city on Saturday. At a meeting attended by church leaders in the city, the mayor emphasized that Irbid serves as "a unique model" of coexistence between Muslims and Christians, particularly in the historic Tell Irbid area, where mosques and churches stand side by side, showcasing the values of love and harmony in Jordan.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Hashemite leaders have upheld these values since the establishment of the Kingdom, fostering brotherhood and solidarity among Jordanians of all backgrounds and religions. The Patriarch affirmed that Jordan exemplifies coexistence and harmony among its diverse societal components, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him.
