Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on Saturday that the United States acknowledges the necessity of addressing the territorial issue as part of a comprehensive diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
According to Jordan News Agency, Lavrov emphasized during a press conference that the resolution of the crisis and the achievement of lasting peace in Ukraine hinge on addressing the fundamental causes of the conflict along with Russia's national security concerns.
Lavrov further mentioned that discussions between Moscow and Washington are underway regarding potential joint initiatives. He noted that the proposal originated from the U.S. side and clarified that Russia had not dismissed the suggestion.
