Amman: The Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee has commended state agencies, particularly the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, for their efforts to secure the release of a Jordanian doctor held in Israel.
According to Jordan News Agency, the committee's chairperson, Dina Al Bashir, stated that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, provided the committee with details regarding the detention of Dr. Abdullah Al Balawi. Dr. Balawi was apprehended while attempting to enter the Gaza Strip as part of a medical relief mission.
The committee has maintained communication with Dr. Balawi's father, keeping him informed about the ongoing diplomatic efforts to facilitate his release, as stated by Al Bashir.
