New york: A multilateral summit involving the leaders of the United States and eight Arab States, along with members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), took place at the United Nations Headquarters. This meeting was held on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Jordan News Agency, the summit was initiated by U.S. President Donald J. Trump and co-hosted by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar. Other notable attendees included King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, Prime Minister Moustafa Kamal Madbouly of Egypt, Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE, and Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

During the summit, Arab and OIC leaders expressed gratitude to President Trump for organizing the meeting. They discussed the dire situation in the Gaza Strip, focusing on the humanitarian crisis and its impact on the region and the Muslim world. The leaders collectively rejected forced displacement and emphasized the importance of allowing displaced individuals to return.

The summit underscored the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and the delivery of humanitarian aid as preliminary steps toward achieving a just and lasting peace. The leaders reiterated their willingness to collaborate with President Trump, highlighting his role in ending the conflict and fostering peace.

Additionally, the leaders discussed the necessity of a stabilization plan, with attention to maintaining stability in the West Bank and Jerusalem's Holy Sites. They expressed support for Palestinian Authority reforms and emphasized the need for a comprehensive reconstruction plan for Gaza, based on Arab and OIC proposals, with international support.

The participants stressed the importance of continuing efforts initiated in this meeting to pave the way for peace and regional cooperation.
