Naqoura: The Lebanese Army has announced the establishment of its positions around Naqoura, a border town, and has commenced deployment in collaboration with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This development aligns with the meeting of the Quint Committee, which oversees the ceasefire agreement in Ras Naqoura. The meeting was attended by Amos Hochstein, the Senior Advisor to U.S. President Joe Biden, and follows the recent withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Lebanese Army released a statement on Monday highlighting that the deployment will progress in the coming phases. During this time, specialized units will perform an engineering survey of the town to identify and neutralize unexploded ammunition. The statement also advised citizens to maintain a safe distance from the area and to follow the instructions provided by military units until the deployment is fully completed.
