Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati reiterated his call to U.S. Presidential Envoy Amos Hochstein to work on halting Israeli security violations of the ceasefire, including ongoing assaults on southern towns, the systematic destruction of homes and facilities, and violations of Lebanese airspace.
According to Jordan News Agency, Mikati emphasized the need for a clear timeline for the complete Israeli withdrawal before the expiration of the 60-day deadline stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
The Prime Minister stated, "The continuation of these violations and discussions about Israel's intention to extend the ceasefire deadline is strongly rejected. We are bringing this issue to the attention of the countries that facilitated the arrangements and to the committee responsible for overseeing their implementation."
