Lower House Appoints Committee to Respond to Speech from the Throne.

Amman: Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi announced that the Speech from the Throne delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II serves as a roadmap guiding the legislature in a united effort to serve the national interest. According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi, during the initial meeting of the chamber's Permanent Office, conveyed the collective pride and gratitude of the house members to the King for inaugurating the first ordinary session of the 20th Jordanian parliament with his Speech from the Throne. The legislators selected a committee tasked with drafting a response to the Speech from the Throne, which will be presented to His Majesty. The House also addressed its priorities for the coming period, aiming to meet the expectations of the Jordanian populace through effective parliamentary work. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Speaker Mustafa Khasawneh, Second Deputy Speaker Ahmsd Hamaisat, and Assistants to the Speaker Huda Naffaa and Mohammed Marie.
