Lower House ‘Keen’ to Listen to Citizens’ Demands: Speaker

Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, emphasized Jordan's success in maintaining security and stability under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, despite the region's ongoing crises. Qadi highlighted the crucial role played by the citizens' awareness and the strength of Jordan's army and security forces in achieving this stability.

According to Jordan News Agency, during a meeting with a delegation from the "National Waqf Medal Initiative," Qadi stressed the importance of direct communication between the House and citizens, urging the need to listen to their demands, opinions, and aspirations. He identified unemployment as a major challenge for the country, calling for joint efforts by the government and private sector to create job opportunities for the youth and align educational and training outcomes with the labor market's requirements.

MP Qassem Qabai', who attended the meeting, highlighted the importance of expanding the Kingdom's middle class to enhance public awareness and ensure a decent living standard for citizens. Additionally, MP Mu'taz Abu Rumman expressed pride in the House's national stances, which he said resonate with the sentiments of the Jordanian public.

The head of the delegation, Haitham Abu Rumman, explained that the "National Waqf Medal Initiative" was launched to honor the patriotic efforts of the House in defending the Kingdom's issues and its citizens' rights.
