Ma'an: The Greater Ma'an Municipality has initiated a comprehensive readiness campaign to gear up for the forthcoming winter season, focusing on clearing flood channels and ensuring that stormwater systems are ready to handle potential heavy rains.

According to Jordan News Agency, Assem Al-Nahar, head of the Ma'an Municipal Committee, stated that this proactive initiative is designed to enhance the municipality's ability to respond swiftly and effectively to any emergencies that may arise during the rainy season. The campaign underscores the importance of maintaining clear waterways, removing debris, and ensuring that all stormwater infrastructure is fully operational.

Specialized teams have been tasked with the regular inspection of drainage sites to remove any blockages and facilitate smooth water flow. The initiative focuses on three primary objectives: clearing waterways, maintaining stormwater systems, and preparing necessary equipment and pumps to mitigate the impact of severe weather conditions.

To ensure the effectiveness of these efforts, regular progress reports will be generated to promptly address any challenges. This approach aims to safeguard public safety and minimize disruptions as the winter rains approach.
